Big Bull Jhunjhunwala gains Rs1125 cr in single day

Hyderabad Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, an Indian stocks trader and business magnate, gained Rs 1125 crores in one day from investing in two Tata stocks.

Tata group's, Titan Company and Tata Motors stocks surged to new highs in Thursday's trading session. Titan share price surged over 10 per cent to Rs2,384.25 a piece whereas Tata Motors shares hit new 52-week high of Rs383 and closed more than 12 per cent higher.

According to the shareholding pattern of Titan Company for April to June 2021 quarter, Big Bull and his wife Rekha Jhunjhunwala both have investments in the company. Jhunjhunwala holds 3,30,10,395 Titan shares whereas his wife has 96,40,575 titan company shares in her portfolio. Likewise, Tata Motors shareholding pattern for Q1 FY22 shows that Rakesh Jhunjhunwala holds 3,77,50,000 shares of the auto company as of June 2021 quarter.

Together the couple hold 4,26,50,970 Titan Company shares, with its shares surging Rs 226.35 a piece on Thursday, Jhunjhunwala's net worth grew by around Rs 965 crore in yesterday's stock rally. Similarly, the big bull holds 3,77,50,000 shares of Tata Motors and auto company's stock price shot up Rs 42.45 per share on Thursday. That means, His net worth grew by Rs 160 crore in Tata Motors shares yesterday.

The robust rise in these two Tata group stocks helped its investor Jhunjhunwala's net worth to gain by near Rs 1,125 crore on these two stocks in a single day.
